I'm thinking of ordering Teri's book Curly Like Me. I was wondering if anyone here has read it and if you have any reviews.

She's one of my hair inspirations. Don't know if I could ever have the patience to grow it that long, but wow its so fabulous :yep:

I've been thinking about that book, I may order it one day if I can get a good deal.

Her sites was one of the first ones I stumbled across when going natural. The curly primer method doesn't work for me, but it's still interesting.

The picture really suits the book. I always loved her hair and once my hair gets longer I may even try her method. I didn't know her book was out yet. It only took her 10ish years to get where she is right? I'm sure if you keep up with what you're doing BM you may get somewhat of a hang like hers. Your hair is gorgeous already so it'll only be icing on the cake right?

I definitely plan to get the book which isn't schedule to release until May for like 17.00 I love her hair too

Not for me. I know her basic routine and philosophy and it's not something that I can do with my hair. Hers is lovely, though. I hope it's a success!

She has a good pr0n name. :look:

No, I am satisfied with the way my hair is growing and the simple methods that I use. Having been a frequent cutter of my hair, it did not take 10 years to get to WL.

Yeah, I got an email this week about her book coming out. I  her hair so much! I have given her method a try and it did make my hair hang nicely. Since I don't really wear my hair out, though, it's not the most practical for me to use on a day to day basis. I love the product review section on her website!

She is a memeber here. but I don't think she post very much
She joined after she made her website and started the book
She is really nice

Her methods are not for me, it would be too much work quite frankly, but I congratulate her on her success and the book! :)

Her hair is very pretty.

I had no idea her last name was La Flesh :lachen:

Me to I stumbled across her "blog" and got excited but it did not work for me either.

THIS. She smooths every strand with conditioner. I don't know how she does it. That would take me the better part of a day with all the hair she has. It betta last!

I use a modified version of her technique; I could not sit there going through every curl, but I do leave in almost all of my conditioner and either smooth with my fingers or brush the ends of each curl; this doesn't take long.

I wonder how much new content her book will have that's not on her blog?

I hope she is a success her method is pretty sound for her type of hair. I cannot use these methods in their entirety.

You probably already saw it before?

She's on youtube too. http://www.youtube.com/user/telzeek

Her technique is way too time consuming for me and after all that my curls don't even hang like hers but it's clearly working great for her hair.

Thanks Ladies. Her technique is very similar to what I used to do. I used to apply a water based curl enhancer called Curl Keeper to my wet hair and then twirl my curls. It was time consuming but it looked nice.

I used to do a similar technique to hers as well but I was no where near as thorough as she is, i just twirled random curls where my hair needed it. It wasn't time consuming at all compared to hers.

she was one of the 1st blogs a came across when i started my journey too! she helped me a lot by getting me on the right path. but her method also didnt work for me. when i smoothed my curls out it left them limp and lifeless. my hair looked wet the whole day even though it was fully dry. my curls were over stretched. but i do thank her for getting me on the right path to my current reggie. i know her book will do well

The thought of globbing all that conditioner in my hair gives me the heebie-jeebies. Not to mention all that twirling and smoothing of EACH.INDIVIDUAL.CURL. :spinning:

I may give her method a shot though. It can't hurt, right?

I thought it was out already, didn't realize it wasn't out till May!

Her method doesn't work for my hair either, but I like the way she writes and her online personality so I'm hoping her book has some interesting stories.

Don't do it - your curls look perfect already!! :)

I don't follow her method for this reason. Also, she doesn't trim her hair. She hasn't trimmed in years; I could never do that. I've found some of her advice useful though such as using only conditioner. I plan on buying the book. I most likely won't follow all of her advice, but am open to trying some of it. Plus, she seems like such a sweet person.
