Curly Hair Solutions...anyone try this?

Don't let him cut your hair he slices off whole sections almost to the root to de-bulk the hair. If you saw the Extreme Makeover with the Afro-Latina chick from NYC that's what he did to her hair.

I don't know about the debulking cutting method, but I've used the CurlKeeper for over a year when I wear the pull-and-diffuse style. It's great at curbing frizz but doesn't have a lot of hold in it. I use it with setting creme to elongate my curls. The Silk Leave in conditioner is good too, but nothing to make a special trip for. CurlKeeper + Setting Cream is my "curly pudding".

Ms Kenesha, they had an update with the blatina and her hair was a mess. They had to go in and start over with a new cut and in the end she got a shorter hair cut with no tunnels in it and her hair looked good. When I saw that episode I gasped because I just don't think that this cutting technique is for our hair because when your NG is growing in and the older parts have chemicals it can be messy. Ya get me? Anyho, I've tried these products several times and they are good but for me not moisturizing enough(shampoos) and although I got really good curl definiition with the curl keeper was too stiff for my hair and the white creamy stuffy that's supposed to give you curl definition gave me definition, and large white flakes all over my hair. It dried to a white/gray color.

i totally missed the tunneling thing...thats ridiculous...plus he made the hair look so thin...I like thickness with curly hair...with any hair type really!!! makes it look fuller and healthier

I LOVE Curl Keeper on my................................WEAVE!!!! :lachen:

Carla at Nature Girl suggested this and it works like a dream!!! I had ringlets in minutes. And...it's not sticky! LOVE IT!!!!
