Has anyone with relaxed hair tried this product. Mine came in the mail yesterday and I tried it last night. Per the instructions I detangled my hair with conditioner (NTM DDC) then rinsed and left a little conditioner in my hair. Then I applied (Jane Carter Sculpt solution--for wash and go hair styles) and sectioned and appied the Curling Custard. The instructions say not to use a towel so I just squeezed the excess water out and let it air dry with the product in.

Pros: My hair was/is sooooo curly. It really works (sorry no pics). My hair looked like natural wavy type curls very cute...

I wore it in a bun today because I woke up late and had no time to work with it.. My co-workers keep telling me that they didn't know I had curly hair...hehehe

Cons:
*Well it took like two hours to dry and it was still damp when I finally went to bed.
*My hair was/is a little crunchy (could it have been the Jane Carter?)not soft.
*My hair looked thin not as full as it does with other curl products I have used in the past after airdrying.

I really like the results...I think I just used too much. Has anyone else had this problem? What products could I use after it dries to make it more soft and full.

TIA

I use the curling custard, my hair is almost all natural, I follow the instuctions, it makes my nappy hair have nice waves, because my hair is short i only where it gel down, it makes my hair hard and that's how i like it so it can hold. overall i love it

Hi Lkg4, is your relaxed hair already wavy when you wet it and the products just enhanced it? or did the products do all the waving? Thanks

Yes my relaxed hair has a wave to it when it is wet. The nape area has a slight curl to it in certain sections when air dried. The CC enhanced it and made it more defined and more curly/wavy.

I do a lot of scrunching to make it more curly. It was separated, not frizzy at all...it was just hard (although I think I used too much the first time).
