Curlier after a Cut???

Since I plan to get my hair cut about 9 or so inches, I was wondering if hair gets curlier after its been cut shorter. I know sometimes on naturally straight hair it sometimes gets curlier. I have wavy hair.

I wouldn't say my hair gets curlier when cut shorter but it holds a curl better.

Well i'm transitioning and since I don't want to do the BC..this is as close as i'll get. Also, i'd like to try something different with my hair. I have about 3-4 inches of new growth and i'd like to work more with that than the relaxed ends.

If it seems curlier after a cut, it is probably due to lthe hair having less weight, depending on how much is cut.

I plan on cutting about 9 -10 inches off. It should put me right below the chi level.
