Curls in a bottle (which is so funny that you posted this, I literally just finished my hair using that and her smoothing lotion) is literally a liquidy styling solution that you can use alone if you want softer curls or underneath a gel.
The curl queen is just a gel, which you can use alone if you like. It's much thicker than the curls in a bottle.

^^I never tried it under my gel...i always put it on top to control my frizz...shall try that next time....tomorrow!
