I've browsed around and the question I'm looking for an answer to hasn't been answered.

So here it goes: I'm using this product>>

its pantene pro-v restore beautiful lengths replenishing mask. The directions say leave on for 5 mins. Well my question is if I'm treating this like a DC could I leave it on for longer? If its stupid to use this as a DC puhlease inform me. I'm totally new to all this and slightly oblivious to certain things. erplexed

Many of these DC's recommend leaving them on for 5 minutes. I can't imagine deep conditioning for that little bit of time so I always leave it on a minimum of 30 minutes.

^^^I usually DC for hours. I am the queen of DCing overnight. It just easiest for me. Slap on some DC and go to sleep, rinse in the morning. At a minimum I DC for an hour.

I normally add more time to the "suggested" amount of time listed on the product.

How happy are you with the results? I have never used the product before.

I DC 30-40 minutes with steam or longer under a plastic cap and a hot,wet turban when I can't use my steamer.

The longer the better IMO, (in my opinion).

I've been eyeing that for a while. It's right up there with the ntm deep recocery mask, but a little cheaper. Maybe I'll try after this weave. Don't forget to review.

My review: so I just started using the entire beautiful lengths line and I must say, the entire line left my hair feeling GREAT. It left it moisturized and sleek. I love it. definitely going to keep using and as an added bonus it was minimal breakage and all at a good price. HTH

Ingredients: WATER, BIS-AMINOPROPYL DIMETHICONE, STEARYL ALCOHOL, BEHENTRIMONIUM CHLORIDE, CETYL ALCOHOL, PANTHENOL, PANTHENYL ETHYL ETHER, FRAGRANCE/PARFUM, DISODIUM EDTA, BENZYL ALCOHOL, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, METHYLCHLOROISOTHIAZOLINONE, METHYLISOTHIAZOLINONE.

Those ingredients are basically the same for all the other masks that they sell...give or take.

Some things you need to follow the directions with. Something like this, I don't think it should hurt. I DC for at least 20-30 minutes, that's about all you need to get the job done.....
