It’s coming up on three months since I trimmed my hair last.

I’m going to be very modest this time around if I do trim anything. Maybe a very light dusting.

We shall see. Last time I trimmed was March 29th.

Headed into week three of my latest protective style. I’ll be keeping this in until the weekend of July 5th. Then reinstalling on the 6th.

That will give me some time to see if I like the rosemary oil addition to my routine.

Headed into week 4 tomorrow. Still trying to oil at least 3-4 times a week. Alternating with my oils and leave in sprays.

Trying to think of what type of hair style and color I’ll get. I do know for August I want locs.

I like this hair I used in this latest style. Freetress gogo curl. At first I didn’t but it’s grown on me.

I’m taking my hair down next Friday. So I gotta see what hair I’m going to get next. I’m thinking maybe some boho locs and then in August the kinky curly locs. Decisions decisions.

Started week 5 yesterday. I’ll be taking my down on Friday evening and getting it reinstalled early Saturday.

Thinking about small kinky twists or using the gogo curl hair again. I’ll see when I go on Tuesday to buy some hair.

Im not trying for bone straight hair but id like to get a more accurate length check.

It’s hard for me to work with the original revair because it’s so bulk and I have issues with my left hand/arm and weight.

I purchased the Red Handless ceramic detangler and Mizani Thermal Smoothing Raincoat Styling serum. I’m going to use the Red handless detangler after I use the revair.

I heard on TikTok the Thermal Smoothing serum was good for blowouts and silk presses.

Coming up on 3 weeks in this latest style. I’ll take it down next weekend and move on To boho crochet locs. Just in time for vacation the second week of August.

I won’t have another length check until October I’m thinking because I’ve been using that October picture from last year as a baseline of growth I’m retaining.

it’s visibly obvious that I’m retaining. I just need to stop self sabotaging myself. Patience and getting help in my take down. I cut the ends of two braids in July because they came loose from my braid down and it didn’t realize it.

I also need to start researching v part wigs so when the cool weather hits I can switch to that from crochet braids. I’m thinking keeping my braids in 6-8 weeks and being able to wash my braids frequently will be a game changer this fall/winter.

I’ll have to use the spray temporary hair dye on the leave out because I don’t want to dye my leave out to match the wig.

Going on a cruise at the end of the month and that’s when I would normally take my crochet braids down at week 4. I’ll have to keep them in another week and take it down week 5.

I want the hair above for my next style. It’s going to be interesting as I’m going to leave a sliver of hair out so I can pull it up and down while looking realistic.

Coming up on week two in the latest style this Saturday.

Back from vacation so I need to get back on moisturizing my scalp.

Used some Curls & Potions Supercharged this morning and tonight.

Will use some fenugreek oil or rosemary oil in the morning then a spritz of a moisture spray.

I expect to have two inches of growth every time I take my hair down because in my head it feels like I keep my hair braided up for like 2-3 months. Chile, it’s only 4 weeks and on rare occasion 5 , lol.

I don’t have it in me to leave my hair braided up from 6-8 weeks any longer. The only way I could get away with it, is if I had my own natural hair braided up. Seeing how my shrinkage has me at ear length when wet , that’s not happening.

I thought about getting that kinky human bulk hair and washing in that but the price of the hair offends me , lol.

I like my 4-5 weeks rotation in crochet braids though

Three days until I take these crochet locs out. Can’t wait to wash my hair and scalp.

I’m so annoyed with myself that I got 16 inch hair instead of 18 inches. I’m not sure how this is going to go over.

Back braided up. I foresee another year protective styling before I reach my goal.

Who knows if I change my mind in 6 months. I’d like to find a really good crochet stylist in 2026

I wonder if I can sell this crochet hair and buy the 20 inch instead. The 16 is too short for how I like to style my hair. I used some type of water wave curl this time instead.
