Ooh looks great! I love crochets as a PS! So easy and convenient. What hair did you use and how long do you plan on keeping it in? Let us know how it holds up when you wash it.

Im about to do my 1st attempt today. Will post pics when done.

Sidenote: I cant believe how difficult it is to cornrow hair when adding hair. OMG!

She did not add any hair to the base because my hair is super thick and I am 12+weeks post. We used Freetress deep twist bulk hair. We should have cut it in half because it was super long and I cut it a lot any way. This hair gets big but since I was natural for 2-3 years...the bigger the better.

I LOVE IT! I'm looking to try this soon. With every posting you ladies provide of your crochet success, I'm getting more nerve and inspiration to do it. How long do you think this will last OP?

I hope it last at least a month. The base will hold...This hair tangles easily so I don't know much about it. Can anyone comment on how to take care of freetress hair?

very pretty- I think I am going to get some crotchets for the winter

That hair looks like it will tangle easily. I use the water wave, The curls are deep and I used gel on the hair to hold the curl. I used a soft hair once and it was tangle city! But I like the hair that you have. I like the soft wave, but I'm too afraid of tangles. Very cute! I just put my bonnet on at night. I just washed it on Monday and it still looks good!

I love crochet braids!! They are so easy to do and it dont take a lot of time to do them! I dont know what I would have done If I havent discovered them...:)

Yours are nice btw!

I use to get these back in the day...wish I remembered them when I was natural...probable would have still had nat. hair.

Nice!!! I bought the hair to do some crochets but I got tired after doing about 2 cornrows so I took it out and put my hair right back in a puff. Maybe I will give it another shot this weekend.

Sorry if this is a dumb question... but I'm lost on this. Is that loose hair or is it just braided at the beginning of it? Can you explain how it was put in? Thanks

Crochet braids are a great style. Nice how it has invaded the board over the past few months :lachen: but if it hadn't I would have never picked it up. They look great.

QUESTION? So when doing the cornrows, you add hair to the cornrows? if so How do you Clean the Synthetic Bag Braided Hair? I see the Cheap Jumbo Braid Hair for like $1.99
a bag, I guess if your hair is not as thick it would help to hold the Cornrows down?

Thanks Ladies!

It depends on hair length and the braider. My hair is a little past sl and thick and my braider is skillful so she adds no hair. My cornrows are strong and will hold up. Some add hair to provide that kind of base.
