I tried CoN today for the first time. My hair is not dry yet so I'm not sure if I like it yet. But my question is, is your hair supposed to still feel a little slimy even after you rinse it out good? This does not happen with my other shampoos/conditioners. But on the plus side,my wet hair feels very soft. Has anybody else tried this product? And what did you think of it?

I remember my hair feeling that way the very first time I used CON. I just thought I didn't rinse it enough because it hasn't felt like that since.

I was going to ask this very same question. When I first got it, I would just keep rinsing and rinsing, thinking I still had it in my head. It still happens. I have even gotten out of the shower to work through my hair to make sure it's all gone. Not sure this is a problem; it's supposed to be moisturizing, right everybody?

Buffy,

I've used the Professional version for normal hair (the stuff in the red and cream bottle) for quite a while now. It always makes my hair feel the way you describe. Maybe not slimey, but definitely slippery. It's all the conditioning agents and quats in the product. CON is definitely one shampoo which I rotate. I just cannot use it every time.

It's a gentle, powerful 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner which isn't marketed as such...just a conditioning shampoo.

The two things I do not like about the product are the smell and maybe a bit too much slip. The rotation takes care of the extra slip, but I've found nothing to quell the smell.

I use it frequently in the winter and it works extremely well.

You might find like I have that it works even better with a lighter conditioner. Some people don't even use an extra conditioner.

I tried manfully to like Creme of Nature, but I gave up the fight for the very reasons you outlined. After reading the raves on the board, I gave the normal formula a try (I couldn't get the dry/damaged formula at the time) and I was unpleasantly surprised by the excessive slipperiness. I threw the bottle away after the second attempt, and got the dry/damaged formula. The same thing happened. Try as I might, I just couldn't take the excessively slimy feeling on my hands and hair each time I shampooed. I even tried diluting the shampoo with water, but that didn't make much of a difference. I kept using it, though, figuring I'd eventually get accustomed to the slippery feeling. Plus, I knew it was gentle on my hair, so I tried to put up with the slimy feeling for the sake of healthy hair. I ended up tossing the dry/damaged formula in the trash, too, about a month ago. I switched to Elasta QP Creme Conditioning Shampoo, which is also very gentle, with good slip. It's interesting you use the word 'slimy', because that's exactly the word that comes to my mind whenever I think of CON. I don't know - maybe it has something to do with water quality?
