1st let me say I'm new to the board and apologize that my 1st post is a complaint....
On 10/25/05 I ordered $60 worth of products from this company. I verified with my bank that the draft was paid. The phone # given to my bank by this co. is disconnected and the new number is an unlisted number.
I have sent over 4 emails to this co. with no response.
Any suggestions what to do next???
Thanks to all.
Love this Board!!!

Did you pay with your bankcard that has a Visa/Mastercard logo? If so then I would recommend tht you dispute the charges. Tell them your goods were never delivered. This is the very reason why I always pay with a credit card. also is there any way to dispute this with your bank? Also look them up with the Better Business Bureau in your state and file a compliant. I have done this with positive results. Good Luck!

Yeah, this is good advice.....see if you can find an address for them and write them.....but best thing to do is complain to your bank or credit card company as they know who they paid.

Welcome to the forum, by the way.:)

Sorry about your mishap. I ran a thread on them about a month ago, and I was warned by the ladies in this forum not to deal with them. I don't think there is much that you can do to get the money back. I would definately report them to BBB and spread the word.

The same thing happened to me a while back with this company- i did report them to the better business bureau- who has numerous complaints on them. The owner's husband finally answered the phone but stated he did not know anything about her business and that the owner was in the hospital. Her assistant did call me back and offered to send the order- i told her i just wanted my money back. she said that she would do this- but you know i never got it- this is the second time this happened to me online- the other company did the same thing-only they sent me a partail order- then disconnected the phone and took down their website too- i understand that they may now be operating under a different name. I learned a valuable lesson- i try to order from my reg. places that i have good experiences with or ask others prior to ordering now.

Ok, if this is a common occurence, personally Iwould report that company to the police....that is your hard earned cash, and it sounds like those folks are a bunch of crooks if they are taking folks money like that!

I had a similar experience online recently....I paid with Paypal and kept emailing the seller (3 weeks and no goods)...no response to numerous emails....so I emailed her again she says I need to show her proof that I paid...I said check your email and your Paypal account, that's is your proof....I then told her I had a Paypal dispute open and wouldn't bother giving her negative feedback because I didn't want her maliciously leaving some for me....but I said when I get my goods, I will close the dispute....few days later I got my goods....this was on ebay.

My advice is pay with your credit card wherever possible and don't leave it too long to file for non-receipt of goods if you're ever in that situation...your credit card will have your corner, so contact them ASAP.

As far as the hospital excuse, in general, I think some sellers use this common line so you feel sorry for them....but why keep selling if you're ill?....I just don't get that!

I am sorry you lost so much money with them. I only lost $11 but I am still very angry. THey even sent me an email saying it was delivered but it never was. THen when I wrote them back, they stop responding. I never thought to go to my bank and dispute the charge. It's not their fault I got duped, but I think I will give it a try. I ordered on Sept 7th. . I need some shea butter bad, but I am afraid to waste my money online. You just don't know who is reputable anymore. This place was highly recommended to me:eek: .

Go to the bank and tell them what happened. Bring receipts, correspondence, and info that you have on the company. Also contact the BBB.

I would file with the Attorney General's office in your state. (They should cover internet sales) I would do this right away, because they sound like they are getting ready to go bankrupt!
Then send them a certified letter with proof of payment (like the confirming e-mail form paypal, and state your intent to take legal action immediately if there is no resolution.

Also give them a deadline-say, a week- to respond.

Just my two cents.

You know, maybe we should make a thread of on-line stores that do this...Or is there already one under "Vendors" here at LHCF?

THANKS TO ALL WHO REPLIED!!

Update:

A.) I Called my bank and made a dispute report today. Will take 7 days for refund.
B.) Filed formal complaints with
1.) Georgia Attorny General (Where Co. is located)
2.) Internet Fraud Complaint Center (IFCC)
3.) Better Business Bureau
4.) Federal Trade Commission
5.) Georgia Police Dept. - I'm waiting for a call back from the dept that handles such complaints.

I guess I was PISSED!!!. And a little motivated to take action thanks to the suppor I received here.
