Cowboy Magic Detangler and Shine Changed Their Forumula?

Hi guys! I just have a really quick question. This thread is kind of a spin off of the http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forum6/thread498630.html thread.

sheba1 mentioned that Cowboy Detangler and Shine was a good alternative to Sabino at a better price, and so I went online to check it out. I was attempting to find the best price when I came across an ingredient list that did not match the site sheba1 posted a link to. The ingredients on that site read:

Cyclomethicone, Dimethicone, Panthenol, Hydrolyzed Silk, Ethylhexy Methoxycinnamate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Fragrance.

I got no problem with these ingredients. In fact, that hydrolyzed silk sounds pretty good to me! :yep:

The ingredients I found on other various sites were:

cyclomethicone, dimethiconol, C 12-15 alkyl benzoate, octyl methoxycinnamete, tocopheryl acetate, panthenol, silk amino acids, methyl-paraben, proplyparaben, and fragrance.

I don't like these ingredients quite as much. :nono: I could be wrong, but the silk amino acids sound like a watered down version of the hydrolyzed silk AND they're further down in the ingredients!

Is anyone still using this product? If you are, have you noticed any adverse affects from these new ingredients?

I'm just asking because I'd really like to try this product but I just don't know if I'm feeling those new ingredients. :ohwell:

TIA!!

Oh no, Sianna. Why on earth do they change the formulas that people adore :wallbash:

I went to check the bottle that I have and of course it has the ingredients from the first site. That site is the official site so it would surprise me if they don't have the most up to date information.

I bought my 16 oz bottle from a local horse store and it has lasted me nearly 2 years. Maybe you'll see one at a tack shop (horse store) near you :ohwell:

I know right??!! I would have thought that the original website would have the most up-to-date info too, but that new list of ingredients really makes me think that the formula might have been changed. I'd like to think that the second list of ingredients is the old formula, but I just don't know about that.

Maybe I can find a bottle of the other formula locally and it will have the right ingredients. :ohwell:

ETA: You know, I think I'll ask them! :yep:
