I got my hair cornrowed into an updo with twisted ends about a week ago and even though it is still neat I am itching to take it out so I can cowash, henna, dc, or something!

I am used to cowashing at least once a week so my scalp is getting itchy and I miss being all up in my hair.

Help! Please tell me what I can do or what you do to get over this feeling when you are wearing braids or a weave or something...

Maybe you can still cowash by using this method mix some conditioner up in a spray bottle with water. First put a old stocking cap on your head then rinse your hair under water. Once hair is wet remove stocking cap and spray a generous amount of the mixture on your hair till you feel that all hair is coated. Then put stocking cap back on ,then lightly scrunch hair while stocking cap on and let it sit for however time you feel needed and rinse lightly with water while stocking caps on. Once all conditioner is all removed you can either let it dry with stocking cap on or off from that point it's really up to you as far as the next steps is.HTH:yep:

Another post worth thanking...

Thanks stardust. I am really worrying about messing up the style but I think this could work. I actually let the girl grease my scalp! So I might try diluted conditioner with baking soda.

I experienced it! I took my sew in out super early because I could no longer deal....

Maybe try spritzing your scalp? Good Luck.
