Re: Corrective Retouches? Has anybody had success w/one. I have uneven texture thru-

I could use some advice in this too. I'm facing the exact same problem :ohwell:. I went to a new salon last retouch and the guy totally underprocessed the entire top part of my head (and i had a A LOT of new growth), its a disaster needless to say. I would LOOOVE to know people's success (or horror ) stories w/ corrective relaxers...I'm dreading finding a stylist who can fix this!

I have the same problem, it was due to using no lye relaxers for 1 year, I'm switching back to lye relaxers, but I don't know if I can correct the no lye hair.

It didn't work for me. I went from having 2 textures to 3 including the new growth.
Maybe your hair will have better luck.

Just last night my beautician re-relaxed all of my hair...she had been saying that parts of my hair weren't permed because the texture was different in certain areas so it was like getting a relaxer for the first time all over again. Needless to say, I am nervous that my hair is gonna start breaking off...it looks great now. A friend of mine told me to just make sure I deep condition every week to prevent dryness and I should be ok.

I remember once before my hair dresser went back and permed some underprocessed spots of my hair on one side and it turned out fine.
