i've been doing the cng method for 3 months now and i'm not really a fan of individuals i'm think of putting my hair in 2 to 4 corn rows, that way i can unbraid and rebraid with the quickness, but is this a wise decision, i don't braid my hair tightly, so as far as that goes i won't have a problem. I just think this will be better for me when it comes to adding my oils and stuff. what do you ladies think?

I say do it. Your hair can always use a break, and it sounds like this way you can also keep them fresh. My friends all swear by putting their hair in braids/ cornrows and letting it grow out.
If you're worried about frizz from working out, I would definitely wrap it up during and after the workout, but it probably will require you redo them more often. If you're not up for it. I would add some extensions and do more cornrows, they might last longer.

i was just in sum cornrows..and i think they do help with growth due to they are a low manipulation hairstyle..happy hair growing..

Cornrows are excellent for retaining length. Back in the day when I wore crochet braids for a couple of years straight, I had my real hair cornrowed underneath and it took off like gangbusters.

Cornrows are great for protection and retention, scalp is also able to breath and it's easily accessible if you're going to be applying anything to it. I wish I could wear cornrows all the time until I reached my goals. And even still just for the summer, it's such a great low-maintenance cool style.

When I go home in June I think Im going to have my stylist cornrow my hair. For the summer and the rest of my stretch I want to cornrow so I wont have to deal with tangles and matting. I think you should do it;)

the whole point of braids is to get a style that you can do and leave alone. I think it's more in the less to no manipulation that helps you retain more of your growth then anything else. I would just get the 4-8 cornrows, take a little break by adding the extention hair, and leave it be. Just washing, conditioning and that's it. jmho, hth :)
