Cornrow placement for Crochet braids **PICS**

Hey ladies,
I just re-did my hair and thought I would post a few pics of how I cornrow my hair. This might help someone, I am not the best braider but they seem to stay in.

I start by blowing out my natural hair, it makes it easier to part.

I do 4 section. I don't braid front to back because I don't want parts going all the way to the back.

I braid the sides straight back.

I also add small sections of fake hair to the braid. I attempted to braid without extra hair, but I can't get my braids stable enought without exter hair.

The top center section I braid to the crown, the I braid across and down.
I did a second braid across and down. I braid across to hopefull conceal parts and gaps.

Then I finish off the back.

To tack dow the back I used 4 small rubber bands, I am very careful with how I place and I know exactly were they are. I only twist them around one time each.

My parts aren't perfect, my braids aren't gorgeous, but hey that's good news, if I can do I know anyone can do it!

the finish
I used freetress Tang Curl
I wanted the Water Wave but I got confused, Next time I will try the water wave. I like this better than the deep wave, that hair was a little to fly away for my taste LOL.
the color is 1b/33
it comes 22 inches long
I cut it in half

Very nice.

It's funny you should post this. I was thinking about doing these in a few weeks. The only thing is, I'm not crazy about curly hair. It looks great on everyone else, but on me not so much. I have to figure out a way to do the knot without it slipping off. I don't want to use glue. I have an idea how I MIGHT do it. I'll have to see in a few weeks.

It's funny, I didn't think about wearing this back when Brandy was rocking them. LOL.

I really like your hair. I wanna try this on my mom before I try this myself. Do anyone know if this could be done w/ human hair?

here this lady used mostly straight hair

Very Pretty, BlkOnyx. Now is that synthetic hair? I have decided I would prefer synthetic if I ever got extensions/weaves.

yes it's fake it's freetress tango curl
I perfer human hair but with the way you have to tie a knot in the hair I don't think it can be used more than once so Human Hair IMO would be a waste of money. Also if I decide I want to change styles after a week or two I can do it w/o the guilt:yep:

Thanks, BlkOnyx488 for the posts and information! I am so excited to get my cornrows done (no way I can do this head myself) and add the hair for the crocheted style (myself). This will help a lot in how I get the braider to style my braids to prevent the gaps. Yours looks very nice! Great job!

I bet it if you got your long beautiful hair braided in a cirular pattern your crochet hair would look awesome:yep:

Thanks for this. Your hair turned out great. I never thought of braiding the hair in sections. I may just be able to pull this off.
