I plan on gettign braids/ twists extensions at least 3 times this winter. Wearing extensions will allow me to not have my hair out all the time and to keep my hair from drying out.Maybe I will experience some growth also!

I'll be waeing phony ponies, quick weaves, cornrows, and just concentrate on moisture, moisture moisture , keeping ends intact (baggie). I will also get some cute scarfs and hats to keep it covered on really cold days.

I'll probably be braiding it up! If not then I will be just doing my braidouts and twistouts, and I will be wearing my hair straight twice; once for Xmas and the other for Thanksgiving!:)

I've been wearing buns for ages, and I'm getting a bit tired of them. Nevertheless, I'm not planning on relaxing at all this winter, so I'll probably have to wear either buns or braids.

Salon set and wrap every two weeks.
Self set and wrap or wet wrap for the weeks in btwn.
With a few phony ponies, phony bun, or cornrows thrown in. I plan on relaxing the The last week in December.

I hate winter! :swearing: Oh....that wasn't the question was it?

THis winter will be my first as a natural so I don't know what will have to change as far as products. But I do know I will be wearing more twists, braid outs and such. I won't be wash and go-ing anywhere. I'll still condition wash but probably at night so it will dry by the morning. I usually do more deep conditioning as well. And always, always, I'm wearing my hat lined on the inside with satin.

I think I'm going to do less CO washes, I already reduced them to every other day since I started using MTG...I'm going to continue w/ my braided bun, no more wash and go since I won't have time in the morning for my hair to dry and I can't be bothered using a dryer

I'll wear curly/fluffy updos or my staples: ponytails or a single braid tucked in my jacket. That's a great way of protecting the ends.
Of course when it's snowing I'll wear a hat.
I'm thinking about buying a humidifier also to combat the dry indoor air. :)
From now until April I'm expecting my hair to grow 7 cm (about 2,5 inches).

i have no idea what i'll do

don't want to braid. never got a weave before and don't want to.

luckily i'll be home in Miami in January

but for december, february and march... i don't know. Up the moisture, for sure, but as far as styles, no idea. how do you wear a hat with a bun underneath? that wouldn't look cute. maybe low buns??? high ponytails if i'm not covering the hair??

I live in New England and the winters here are brutal on hair and skin. I'm back to buns, updos, pin up styles this winter. I've learned the hard way that the cold climate here is way too hard on my hair. The things I did to retain my growth in the past were protective styles in the am and baggie my ends in the pm.

I live in Wisconsin and winters are brutal as well. I wear my hair up constantly, and I deep condition and use lots of moisturizers. My scalp suffers big time so hopefully it will be ok since I've got rid of my dandruff problem.

My washing regimen doesnt change but these days I am pinning my hair up a bit more and definately avoiding wool hats without a silk headscarf first.
