Conspiracy Theory

I am conviced that there is an evil and heinous plot by the hair care industry to remove any products that are too succesful; any products that AA women have raved about that helps grow their hair. They do this to keep us spending money.

Case in Point: SURGE PLUS 14!!!! there is no logical reason that they are no longer selling this product, everyone LOVED LOVED LOVED it! I caught on to it near the end, and was only able to buy one bottle (I have like 1/2 ounce left, I am trying to baby it, and don't want to finish it). It performed as advertised (for me at least) now I can't find it to save my life.

Other examples would be Capilong, Hair Rush by New Chapter

. I have heard great things about these products but they are no longer available. As much as we love to take care of our hair, I cannot believe that they would go out of business as a result of sales, black women spend more on their hair than any other race. CONCLUSION: the white man must not want us to have long hair too easy, they want our money.

Are there any other products that you guys know were great and are no longer available? and am I just paranoid? (not that being paronoid is bad)

Boo..this isn't a conspiracy theory..it's the truth! If one product grows your hair..then what are they going to do with all of the other useless products? And what will they do with all that weave?? lol

I love a conspiracy, but, even if they do take products off the market that are very helpful for our hair there are so many good products out there that work that it shouldn't hinder your progress. What matters most is your own health and diet, your hair care routine and techniques. IMO, products come last.

It does seem like companies (hair, nails, cosmetics) always mess up/discontinue an awesome product. They don't seem to replace it with something better either.

Ex- I don't think this is a conspiracy but a cost issue - I am mad that they stopped making Lacio Lacio with mink oil.

@loveurself84 What is that around your neck???!!! Is that a boa? Aiiiyyyyy!! That's scary.

Back to the topic at hand. I've never been so attached to a product or brand that I can't find something to replace it once it's no longer produced. I've always been able to replace it. So, no I don't think it's a conspiracy. I just move on to something else.

Pantene Relaxed and Natural deep conditioning treatment and Elasta QP DPR reformulated

afrikurl...YOU AIN'T NEVER TOLD A LIE ABOUT THAT PANTENE!!!!! I have no clue why they got rid of that conditioner. It was one of the best dc's I have ever tried.

i never got a chance to try the relaxed and natural dc but i heard that its the same as the new deep moisturizing treatment in their curly line, but i think the new one might be more expensive.

I've heard the same thing as well. They changed there stuff around so much in the past year...two years. I don't even bother with their brand anymore.

It is still available in the UK and so is DPR 11 original formula. I just gave my cus a whole tub of original formula yesterday as it didn't work for me. We went to the store and she found another tub there and snapped it up. I cannot find Lustra Silk cholesterol anywhere I have looked and looked.
I might have to try EBAY where it is like twice the price. Bastards *rolls eyes*

*SIDE RANT*The hair shops have really started to get on nerves. They have elasta qp mango butter in the tub with big ole 80% free written on the side and have the audacity to charge more. They are lucky I haven't run out of this yet.
