I am really confused about my hair type. I swear, my hair is strange.

Im starting to think I would have to create my own category just to fit in somewhere. In the front of my head and in the crown area, my new growth comes in straight. In the back, it is wavy. And it grows out in little spiral curls around the edges. Confusing, I know.

The overall texture of my relaxed hair probably resembles a 3a, maybe a 2c. I haven't seen my natural hair since the ninth grade, which was six years ago. But I remember it being very long. When it was washed it would shivel up to about shoulder length and would be very curly and hard to comb through. Does anyone else have problems "hair typing"? Is it possible to have a bunch of different types of hair sitting on your head?

Yes.

Before I left for another town, I was told by my friends that I had wavy.

And my former beauticians said that I have very wavy.

This is year 2003, I thought my hair is straight, because I was called white by the black ladies. Until I was shown the Naturally Curly's Andre hair types by a hair board owner. And I thought my type was 3 and I heard one last beautician remembered and proved that I had a curly type when my hair was very short. But the few months later, my hair grew wavy near medium length.
