naptrl, how often do u use heat? whether u get it pressed, blow it out, or flat iron it???
 
Before the "disaster" about once per month, but I haven't used ANY heat since then! And I won't for a while!!
 
Yeah slowing down on the straightening is probably a good idea...the every 3 months for a blow dry doesn't sound like such a bad idea!

For me, blow drying gets my hair really straight fairly easily and it lasts a while (I could go two weeks! :eek:). I used to do it a LOT last year because I was lazy and it was great having someone else do my hair intsead of me sitting around twisting it up for an hour...now I have discovered the beauty and ease of the wash and go so that's my thing! :) I will probably blow dry for a change in a few weeks though.
