Conditioning Question

If my hot oil treatment says the best results are achieved by rinsing it out after it has only been on for 10 minutes should I rinse it out? (I am currently leaving it in for an hour with a plastic cap on my head and a towel wrapped around it)

Also, I'm using Nexxus Humectress Conditioner, and it says it should be rinsed out after 15 minutes or so. Should I go ahead and rinse it out? This also applies to the Keraphx, if I am using it instead. (I am doing the same as with the hot oil treatment)

I leave my conditioners in from 5 mins (instant condit)-3 hours!!! I dont think you NEED to follow the instructions on the bottles to get good results, but maybe you should do as directed next time and compare

Also, The only time i follow directions with conditioners is when i'm using a heavy duty protein treatments..

I'm thinking that certain products work up to a certain point then stop.. ex. regardless if you left it on for 20mins or 1 hour the results would be the same, you might have to experiment.

Once I was in the shower washing my hair and I asked my man to hand me the conditioner, and he ended up giving me shampoo, of course my eyes were so full of water that I just put it in, and didnt wash it off. Three days later when I went looking for my shampoo bottle I realised I had shampoo in my hair for the last three days!! not conditioner! Thankfully I didnt get any breakage and somehow without conditioning it came up rather soft not dry.

I attribute that to the shampoo did its job, an stop "processing"/"working", which help my hair stay soft and not dry..
