Oh the magic of Photoshop I was reading Samantha's thread and
I couldn't resist this...I had to do it.
I would love to see it in actuality. :scratchch Amy Holmes is leading the way. Condeleeza would look so much more appealing as a Natural.
Michelle can go either way.

What are your thoughts?

Adobe is amazing! If I had not seen both of the ladies before, I would have never known the second pics were not real. I think that they both look great with these natural hairdos! They both look younger. It would be amazing if they actually did sport these looks.

Obama's wife don't look right with that lol... I just realized in the first pic her edges were missing though. I think she would look better with a 4b fro, I think it would suit her face very nicely

Michelle's kids are natural and she does there hair in those old school little kid styles. Braids and ponytails. I love it.

Girl, I think the photos look great! I wouldn't be able to tell if I had never seen the 2 before. It's not like we're having a professional photo competition up in here! That wasn't the point of the thread. (some people get a little deep and focus on the wrong thing) Keep doing what you do and ditto on the poster that said "Now, do me!" ...wonder what I'd look like with a natural puff

As for Condi, I think the color change made her look appear "Softer" She could definatelybenefit from a color change.

My little sisters hair is like that naturally, but she still relaxes She made it to 14 before she wanted a relaxer to be like all the other girls in her school....I was soooooo sad......My hair curls like hers, but is so much thicker that it is not the best in that "wash and go" situation that condi has going on.

On a larger note, does anyone notice the similarities in Condi and Michelles relaxed hairstyle? Why is that? Did Michelle's stylists think that by having similar hair to a powerful black woman, it would make her less threatening to the general population? I've only just now noticed it, so somebody can hand me a late pass and point me in the direction of the right thread if this has already been discussed

Yall know black women in power are only allowed to add a new hairstyle every 20 years or so.

I am thinking all they really have right now are the bun and the Bama flip. I remember when Congresswoman Tyneshia S. Jenkins tried to get some braids in and she got impeached. All because she had intent to get some braids. They found a lighter, a wide tooth comb and some Jumbo 1B braiding hair in her drawer as evidence, it was a huge scandal. Now they have fake hair detectors in the Pentagon. You have to get a braid/weave check right after they scan your fingerprint.

White folks aren't comfortable with us having natural or braids or long healthy relaxed hair yet. My bet is that in about 20 years or so they will be OK with length, and give it another 20 on top of that for them to let us go natural. We're lucky though, they just added the bun back in '99. So now its the bun, the flip, or the short-look. No bobs are allowed yet but we think it will be in the near future
