I'm posting this thread because I recently "broke out" mostly on my back a few days ago, and was wondering if it had any specific coorelation with the conditioner or leave -in conditioner I was using.

It never really happened to me before until recently when I became careless when applying the leave-in conditioner. I usually use Infusium 23, and have in the past, but never had any unusual breakouts such as these. Has anyone else experienced this? Please let me know. Regardless, I'll have it looked at by a dermatologist soon. TIA

Yeah that happens to me to, but only when I get it on my face or if Im in the shower, it breaks me out. I wash it off when it gets on my skin. lol

Ok, well I guess there is some reprieve that I'm not the only one. I'll just have to be much more careful next time.

This was a problem for me too when I began to experiment daily with conditioner washes.

I only wash my hair once every 1-2 weeks anymore, though. I bought a back brush with a long handle, and I scrub my back with body wash each time I shower.

Yes, all hairproducts you use can cause breakouts on your face or back. Sometimes it can be hard to find a product that your hair AND skin like.

I agree. I tend to have the problem with back acne in the summer, when I start washing/conditioning my hair in the shower. The rest of the year I do it bending over the kitchen sink...

Lately, my hair has been looking good, but my face has been looking like crap with all of the pimples. The only thing I've been doing different is using leave-in conditioner every day. Now I know what the problem is.

I can't stand the slick feel conditioners leave on my skin when rinsing in the shower. I remedied this by doing my hair first. That means, CO wash and rinse, then turn the water off, apply my leave-in spray/detangler, moisturizer and oil and bun. Then I put a plastic cap on cause my hair is still dripping wet with goo and wash my face and body.

Hmmm, that's very interesting Brooke. I might have to try your approach to things, and hopefully things will be a lot better for my skin. Like Nay said, it seems so hard to find a product that both your skin and hair like, but at least for now, I'll do my hair first, then add a shower cap, then do the rest of my body. Thanks for all the replies ladies.

I've actually just noticed this as well - ever since I started doing the conditioner washes. Interesting.
