Coming out of hiding

Hi Ladies,

I think its time that I come out of hiding and join you. I have been a memeber since june, but only on the sidelines never in on the chats or anything. I have tried some of your methods and have taking notes from the threads that you all have posted. I am so excited to be here with all of you, It is a beautiful thing to know that this type of sisterhood exist. I am a little slow so please bear with me, because I have so many questions to ask as I go on this journey of growing my hair.

I am 30 years old, I live in New York and I have been natural for about two years now. I believe my hair type is 3 something. Being that I am a real estate agent I had to look professional so I was going faithfully to the dominicians every week to get a wash and set , blowing it and then using a flat iron, one saturday morning I woke up and I just wanted to do my own hair, ever since that day I have been co washing it and taking notes from you guys so please help.

It held up well, its just that i alreday gave a fine texture, all that blow drying was killing my hair and for a while I had a perm which added more grief to my hair. but once a month is not bad, i just got a blow last week.
