Psalm 96:11-13

11Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.

12Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice 13Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

Psalm 98:5-9
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

5Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.
6With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King.
7Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
8Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together 9Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

For several days I've watched news reports of how a man appointed himself judge, jury and executioner of an innocent, unarmed youth. I know that similar tragedies happen everyday all over the world.

Each of us at some point in our lives has deemed someone unworthy of our affection and/or respect because of their appearance, their wealth (or lack of), their opinion, or their place of origin.

We are just not able to judge with complete righteousness, truth and equity.

But I know the ONE who is and it makes me glad!!!

Thank you ...

Your post about this tragedy stands out, because you made the Word of God the Leader of it.

While we feel saddness, anger, vengence, some feel enraged, some feel bewildered, some feel defeated ...

God's Word is still the only justice and God's justice shall indeed prevail.

In Jesus' Name, Amen and Amen.

Oh wow.. this is the same Word I received last night in service: That we are to pray for the Gift of Compassion. Because none of us is able to judge righteously, Jesus was the example of entrusting ourselves to the only One who can judge righteously (1 Peter 21- 25). I'm glad as well !

I heard the mother on the radio today. She quoted proverbs 3:5, an echoed that God will judge justly. Thank you for this thread.
