Colorshines Clear Shine - Reviews Anyone?

I am starting to gray at the temples and I LOVE it -- pretty much everyone in my mother's family "go gray" young -- and I have decided NOT to color my gray 'cause it just looks great, like streaks really and I'm excited about showing it off. I've been researching and seems like Clear Shine might be just the thing without really getting into "coloring" my hair, which I have a morbid fear of even getting into doing (I have so many aunts, uncles and cousins who color, becasue of that "early gray" thing, and they are SLAVES to the color, whether they do themselves or have professionally done, I just am NOT gonna get into that! Bad enough to be relaxing, but coloring too just seems waayy to much trouble just for me).

Soooo, anyone got reviews on this product? I cannot find a list of ingredients anywhere online and would appreciate someone posting the ingredients for the Clear Shine as well as any experience, advice, suggestions, other products, whatever those of you who are gray and NOT coloring would care to provide. I am 4b relaxed with affirm lye mild. TIA!

I don't know what the ingredients are, but I have used clear just to give my hair shine. I used it just as I use the tinted colourshine, when I get a relaxer. My hair was left really soft and shiny.

I really like the clear colourshine. The results were better than with Jazzing, great shine.

Bumbing. Come on, someone on this board must have used or actually have this stuff in their cabinet. I'm counting on you lovely longhaired ladies to help a sistah figure this out . . . .

Colorshines is a staple in my regime. I've used the clear as well as the others. It gives wonderful shine and great color and that's an added bonus, but I use it because it seems to help camoflage any damage I might have, lowers the PH of the hairshaft so the cuticle stays closed, and protects against damage. I think everyone should use a rinse (and Colorshines is the best IMO) in their haircare regime....

Good instincts about not wanting be a slave to color...it can get time consuming. The upkeep can be tedious. But a clear solves that!

Well, I can't help. I only tried jazzing in clear, and saw a mild difference. I have the Sebastians Colourshines in black orchid sitting in the closet waiting to be used.

Thanks for the comments ladies.

Webby, So1913 & Tracy: Can one of you post the ingredients for the clear shine? Pretty Please? I cant' seem to find anywhere in the atlanta area that provides the service OR sells the product. I emailed sebastian for the ingredients and they replied as follows:

"Hello,
Thank you for contacting the Wella/Sebastian Corporation with your question. I am sorry for the delay in response. The Colorshines product is absolutely safe for your chemically treated hair. As far as ingredients, it is a solution in water of plant derivatives and a small concentration of silicones and keratin protein, plus preservative agents in very small concentrations.
For faster service feel free to contact the Customer Service Department directly at 1-800-456-9322."

Which, of course, tells me nothing. I then called the number to no avail 'cause they don't have the product physically there to check the box. The woman than gave me the name and address of a place near me that supposedly has the product (Trade Secret, Cumberland Mall), but, trade secrets do NOT have the product for sale nor do they provide as service in their salons. I call two other Trade Secrets in my area, same thing. Thus, I'm having a real problem getting the ingredients. I'm not as concern about purchasing 'cause there are numerous online stores that sell for about $24 so I know I can buy that way, but I REALLY want the ingredients list before I go down that road.

Anywho, thanks for reading (those of you who got this far) and any light that can be shed on this deep dark mystery of the ingredients for Colourshines Clear Shine would be most greatly appreciated . . . . TIA!
