carolina_belle said:Sweetpea, according to the website, Coffee Bean Brown is really dark. "If you love the colour of chocolate, you'll love Coffee Bean. It's a rich warm brown for all shades of brown hair." They also have Brilliant Brown which is "perfect over medium to dark brunettes. It warms colour without strong red, gold or violet tones." I don't know what type of brown you are going for? Have you used this rinse before?
Has anyone used Ginger or any of the lighter series? I went to the website for a description because I have dark brown hair with dark gold/light brown highlights on the end. I will eventually get highlights again, but I need something with color when I get my relaxer this weekend to even out my hair. I don't want to hijack SPDST's thread, but would also like some Colorshine suggestions. Any suggestions?
Gold Series
Ginger- A stunning gold with just enough red to add warmth to medium brown to black hair. Also perfect for a warm, gold-red on medium red hair.
Golden Walnut- A stunning light to medium saturated brown with gold-copper tones adds warmth and depth to dark blondes or adds golden tones to light ash-brown hair. Golden Walnut also deepens light to medium redheads."
Brown Series
Liquid Amber-A perfectly blended auburn shade with golden-brown and red-gold undertones, best for use on white, brown, or light to medium redheads.
Mahogany on medium to dark brown hair produces a fabulous chestnut shade. On redheads it deepens and balances their red.
Red Series
Cinnamon-A medium, red-orange, red-gold tone that produces a beautiful burnt sienna colour on light to medium brown hair.
Black Cherry-A red with just enough violet for coolness. Perfect for medium to dark brown hair that wants red, but not orange.

You will ge the most noticeable color change from the reds. Any objections to trying the colourshines in "clear" the first go around?
I understand now. OK unless you want to go darker than your #4, coloushines won't do that. You could use your regular rinse and then put a clear colourshines on top. I've done that with good results and it extended my color a little. HTHsweetpeadst said:I don't want dramatic color change but I don't want to see my red color from my previous hair color! I have had a rinse that has covered it up but no shine was added!!!!!
sweetpeadst said:I want the same color as my #4 but my ends tend to get lighter b/c of the color. No lighter no darker! But with shine shine shine shine shine shine!
chellee said:Any alternatives to achieving the same amount of shine as with the colourshines? Other rinses? Products?

My hair is dark brown, and you can barely see the color if i'm in my house, you can only see the shine. But when i'm outside, it's like a dark brown with a deep reddish tint. Hard to explain...anways, I know i look good. I will have my dear ol fiance take pics tonight, i hope that he has software so that I can finally upload pics.
SweetPea, u look good in your Avatar pic. That color really looks GREAT on you.
sweetpeadst said:Thanks but that pic is about 2 years old!!!! And it is highlighted and I don't want highlights right now!
