i'm putting clariol luminizer in my hair... but what should i do before to get my hair ready?

it's already in the best condition it's ever been in my ENTIRE life... in a strand test, my hair is virtually impossible to break apart... i can tell it's super healthy and all that...

i guess, my main question is, should i do a heavy protein treatment BEFORE i color? then should i do a lighter one AFTER?

what's your coloring regimen?

all the relaxed or texlaxed ladies who color, help me out please!:grin::grin:

do the protein treatment before you color, like a day or so, follow with moisture... after color, light protein/moisture moisture, hair will be dry after permanent coloring process. moisture moisture moisture from then on out. Hope this helps!!!

I usually do a 2 min Keratin protein treatment before I applied highlights or semi-permanent color. Then I would co-wash more afterwards instead of using shampoo to keep the color fresher longer. I also deep condition often with favorite oil and light protein conditioners. Co-washes & deep conditioning makes my color last longer (if you are doing a dark shade)
Protein, Moisture, Co-Washing, Deep Conditioning are a must when I do color.
