First of all thank all of you for your great advice! I had a wonderful salon experience and my hair came out perfectly! It was lighter than what u see in the pics but due to some left over henna deposits we had issues with the highlight, so we went back over with a darker brown. Here are the results:

Hope you enjoy!! I have some from the back angle on my iPad...I'll try and post those very soon in the thread. It's recharging from my trip this weekend.

Your hair looks good. What is your routine? Your hair reminds me of my hair and I can't wait to reach your length. I've been getting the itch to try some color.

prettyinpurple No I did not straighten for the appointment. She did a quick blow dry and added the color. It was pretty stretched from the braids and I had pulled it up into a high bun the day before.

BlaqBella I usually wash my hair every 10-14 days with TJNS. I do a deep conditioning mix of coconut oil and other conditioners I have lying around (its different every time). Before I decided to color, I was doing a henna/indigo treatment about once every 6 weeks, but I will be replacing that with a protein treatment once a month now. I use coconut oil religiously...generally every night. If its in a bun or I wear it out, I use the kinky curly products. I always sleep with a silk scarf or cap.

Also, every couple of months, I will get a sew in to give my hair a break. I usually use Halley's curls creole curly hair. It lasts about 2 months. I'm hoping to get back to below bra strap length this summer as I have had a couple of significant cuts this year because of damage. I just got some new butter blends and I'm hoping they help with my moisture routine (avacado butter, mango butter and grapeseed oil butter).

Hope this helps!! :thewave:
