Color rinse question

I am going to use a color rinse for the first time (also the first time i've colored my hair ever) and I am wondering what order to I apply products. The directions say just to shampoo then add rinse, but am I suppose to add conditioner, and if so before or after I add the rinse? Also I just relaxed my hair, how long should I wait to do an Aphogee treatment? Should I do it before or after I add the color? TIA

My stylist always conditions and THEN adds the rinse, because certain conditioners, especially oils, will strip the color out some.

I would way at least a week before using protein, but I'm not sure if using it sooner will make a difference. Um...what color are we using ?

Thanks for your reply, I'm using Avatar Color Rinse in Copper Brown. My hair is dark brown/black so I'm hoping it will add a copper sheen or just brighten my hair color. But I think I will go ahead and condition first then add the rinse.
