Ladies, my hair is dark brown (though I have a reddish cellophane in right now). My two questions:

1) Is it safe to henna with a cellophane already in the hair?
2) Any one here go somewhat red with the proper henna technique? I don't want to do boring black or brown but want to have some red tones. Is this possible? What do I use?

ETA: I really would want to go burgudyish (not Lucille Ball redish..lol)

What color is your cellophane for comparison? I used henna a few weeks after my cellophane with no issues.

I am not a henna expert, I did my first henna yesterday on my naturally dark brown hair with some gray strands and I got a reddish tint with the gray strands turning a cranberry color. It more noticable in the sun.

I used jamila henna, alma powder, acv, distilled water and pectin.

i want to henna my hair and cover the gray without the gray turning red, what do i do-thanks
