Color Guide: How do I select the best color for my skintone?

What is the best color combination for the various black skin tones?

I am medium brown with yellow undertones (as far as my foundation goes).

I am thinking about cutting my hair and rocking a small tex with color, but I don't have a color index for black skin. Does anyone have any suggestions?

This is interesting. I know for me, black or dark brown is the best. That's when I get the most compliments. And I look great in black clothes! My face just lights up.
I think a good start is to find out whether your skin tone is warm or cool.
