How do you choose the RIGHT hair color?

How do you know what hair color would go best with you? Is is based on your complexion. If so, what if you have a medium brown skin like me, what color should i choose? Do you have to be a certain complexion to go with blonde highlights? or red? im so confused...

yea. some people have golden undertones, some rosy, etc. SOme people have cool skin, others warm, and others neutral.
