Anyone taking collagen supplements? I am about to start taking collagen supplements soon.

Have you noticed any benefits in your hair or skin? Please share.

I think AtlantaJJ is taking them.

My doc recommended them to me for my joints so I may start them in the near future.

I've tried the pills but I perfer to use the powder instead. If you're consistant with it you will see benefits in your hair, skin and nails :yep:. This is the one I use to take, I've slacked taking it but I will start again real soon.

I have been taking Puritian's Pride Hydrolyzed Collagen for the past 6 months and trust me it has thickened my hair back to where it was. It has helped clear up my face but a lot of times I forget to take them. That empty stomach thing gets me every time. So I may take them in the am but not at night.

I just hate that these are the biggest pills they have size wise. Between this, my Super-Biotin and Silica it has helped my hair with thickness and softness.

I am looking forward to adding this to my regi. This white guy at work has the smoothest baby looking skin and he is forty. I thought he was having skin peels and he told me it is the collagen he is taking

I can certainly vouch for the skin part here. I take the ones that Nisha takes and have been taking them for about 3 months now. Everyone is asking me what I'm doing to my skin and I guess it is the collagen pills I'm taking.

Taking it on an empty stomach makes me miss out on the evening intake but I do take 3 in the morning on an empty stomach. I also started taking them with 100 mg of NSI hyaluronic acid as recommended. I get them both from www.vitacost.com, but amazon.com has the collagen pills as well.

As far as my hair, I really don't know just yet if it's helping but I will continue to take them for my skin regardless. I am over 40 years old now and will be 41 years old in 8 days, so my skin loves it so far.

I've been focusing on taking better care of my skin, and have been thinking of trying collagen supplements. If it benefits my hair too that's even better :D

I've been taking Biosil (liquid version) since mid-December. I'm patiently waiting for the 20 week mark to see if there's any benefit to my hair.
