Okay Ladies, I tried it out today. I like the way it feels so far. How long was it before you saw a difference in your hair. Good or bad? :drunk:

To be honest I noticed it instantly when I did it, I used a cheapo con from the shop and I realized my hair didn't need shampoo, it only got build up when I used oil on my scalp too much and left it to build up. But I just stick to cheap con as they work better to clean.

Your hair feels more hydrated and curls/ kinks are more defined.

But I am going to make sure I was my hair once a week with a very cool K.I.S.S shampoo which is very gentle just to avoid build up. Oh and protein recon every weekend! HTH

I noticed a big change after a few days, and a huge change after about 3 weeks. Co-washing was the first new thing that I tried when I joined the forum in 2006, because it was the one thing that made sense to me. I've been co-washing ever since, and have never looked back.

I went and bought 5 VO5 conditioners from Shoprite for .66 cents. I love the way it feels. I am going to do it once a week and continue my regular friday or Saturday shampoo. I love the soft feel. I thought, I am just lightly cleaning and adding extra conditioning. I love the feel. Can't stop!

Glad you enjoy the feel. ITA with pureebony; always give your hair what it needs. You've been here longer than I have, so I know that already know this. It's good to be reminded on occasion. :)

Oh, don't worry about the cutting problem. I think it's just a part of the journey. I just did the same thing in January (went from full BSL to APL), but it will grow back. I learned a lesson from it, and I'm certain that I won't do it again until my hair is at waist length.

I know but I constantly do it. Last time it was between MBL and WL and I chopped it off, my husband was mad for a long time.

So last time I got a trim he went bezerk so I promised to let it grow out! (for now)
