Co Washing

Hey guys wat is this exactly? Im been seeing CW everywhere and I have no idea wat it is or good for. Is it like Pre-pooing?Same results...more?

From what i understand it is washing the hair with conditioner only, so instead of using shampoo you only use conditioner. I don't have any results yet I am trying my first one tomorrow after my workout.

This is when you "wash" your hair with a very light conditioner. Most people use cheapie conditioners because you go through a lot of bottles so fast. Personally, i use V05 conditioners. You basically use it like you would a shampoo.

Its very good for people that wash their hair frequently instead of washing with shampoo which can be very harsh for frequent use. I CO wash/CW a few times a week and shampoo once a month.

I'm being my journey to healthy hair this weekend. After I get all this spritz out (because ya'll warned me) I'll start using CWs in place of some of my regular shampooing which I also plan to prepoo before.

I've only heard good things about CWs and those of you who daily wash this way seem to have the prettiest hair. I wish this was an option for me.

I really couldn't co-wash while I was natural but now that i am relaxed, i absolutely love it. The only thing is that because my shaft easily retains moisture now, I have to make sure i get the protein into my hair somehow.:)

Yes, it's a regular size bottle, it's under a dollar at walmart. I buy about 10 bottles every two weeks.

Thanks.

Sunbasque said it best. I co-wash with Mane-n-Tail Condish. I co-washed regularly during my one-year natual period and have kept it up since I have relaxed for that passed year and half. Co-washing keeps my hair hydrated and it is the only thing that helps me stretch my relaxers.

when u co wash ur hair wat type of regimen do u do after it since most ppl co wash 2x to 3x a week do u do rollers under dryers braidouts or wathh

Hey, I love this method of washing hair! It helps me keep my hair mosturised really well. I wet my hair apply conditioner (I use pantene smooth n sleek but have had good results with humectress, swarkzkopf and vo5), leave it on while i shower then rinse and comb through.
It puts moitsure and strength into my hair without stripping it of its own natural oils!
