dont know if this would help..but i conditioner wash and do not use the dryer to help with a deep condition. when i deep condition, i simply put a plastic cap on my head and continue during tasks around the house and let my body heat do the rest..
but to answer your question..yes i still deep condition even though i do conditioner washes
I do not deep condition after a condition wash because my hair feels too weighed down. I try to leave the conditioner on with plastic cap (usually a suave, herbal essence, vo5 or other inexpensive brand with natural oils added to boost moisture -- jojoba, castor, etc.) for at least 10 to 30 minutes before washing out. I do not use heat to condition. If I need deep conditioning, I wash with a thicker moisturizering or protein conditioner (nexxus keraphix or humectress, cholesteral, etc.) and leave on at least 1 hour.
I too only deep condition once a week when I shampoo, nightly when I CO wash, I just leave the conditoner on while I'm in the shower about 10-15 minutes.
I haven't deep conditioned in a long time. My hair is usually moisturized enough for me to not do this step. However, out of habit, I will try to do it at least every 3 months or so.
Okay, I believe in conditioner. Let me start there.
I pre-treat before water even touches my hair w/conditioner or hot oil (once a month). I condition wash, then I rinse and condition again w/heat for at least 20 mins.
i dont use the dryer to deep condition. i always pre-treat my hair with oil and leave it on for at least 45 minutes before i wash my hair. then i wash and condition (sometimes i condition twice, but that's just because i'm trying to finish up my bottle of pantene r&n shampoo because it makes my hair dry).
I only deep conditon when I shampoo my hair once a week. During my conditioner washes I just put the conditioner on, leave it on for a couple of minutes and rinse it out.
I don't use a hood dryer to deep condition b/c I'm lazy. I usually wear a cap for at least an hour usually more. But I'm tempted to see if there really is difference with the dryer.

my routine exactly minus the shampoo part. I clarify with VO5 Kiwi Lime and then deep condition for about 30 minutes
I do not understand the benefits of CO washing. It really doesn't seem like washing to me---just more build up on the hair. I did one and it left my hair extremely limp.
I just started doing conditioner washes this month with Suave Tropical Coconut Conditioner. Im really not sure if i have done it long enough to see if it's for me or if it's really necessary to do. But I have gotten softer hair.

Do you still find the need to deep condition under the dryer? Or is the hair soft enough from the dialy moisture not to need the extra step?

Oops, I didn't read your initial post...I just saw the subject of your thread
I have never deep conditioned under a dryer yet.
I started doing pre-shampoo treatments after seeing it suggested on this forum without a dryer for 30 minutes with just a plastic cap. I didnt know if you're suppose to do pre-shampoo treatments under a dryer or not...Are you suppose to???
But I have tried my first protein treatment with Elasta QP Breakage Control Serum under the hooded dryer.
It just seems to me if your taking the time to condition each day, than your hair should not need the added step with heat. It should be already super soft from the daily moisture. But if you are doing it and seeing a major difference, enlighten me.
