You can buy it from whole foods in essential oil form, or health food store that sells essential oils. I have some that I don't really use that often. It's supposed to be good for tightening the scalp/ shedding and stimulating the scalp. hth

hold up!!!!!!!!!! i have cinn sticks powder and oil. If we are talking essential oil. You have to be very very careful. They said its really to harsh for the skin and scalp and you cannot use it straight on

Cinnamon Bark: Cinnamomum zeylanicum, organic, steam distilled bark, Madagascar. Oil distilled from the bark contains mainly Cinnamaldehyde (@70%) and Eugenol. Cinnamaldehyde is a skin irritant so while the bark oil has a superior fragrance, it is not recommended for topical use in aromatherapy. Bark oil is in great use commercially in foods, mouth preparations, soaps and toiletries. Warm, spicy and sweet aroma. Used as an insecticide, emmenagogue, antispasmodic, antibacterial, aphrodisiac and antifungal particularly against Candida and Aspergillis. Indicated for tooth care, blends for vaginitis, impotence in men, respiratory blends for the lungs. Eases colds and breathing difficulties. As an inhalation, it is excellent for exhaustion, feelings of depression and weakness. It is a very effective antiseptic, digestive and anti-rheumatic and is regarded as one of the strongest antiseptic oils. Useful for preventing infectious and contagious diseases. Not recommended for skin care. Traditionally used in clearing warts. The leaf oil is relatively non-toxic. Very powerful, should be used with extreme care, could be a skin irritant for certain persons. Blends well with clove, frankincense, ginger, lavender, orange and thyme. Flash point: 200̊F.

Cinnamomum zeylanicum, steam distilled leaf, Sri Lanka. Oil distilled from the leaves contains mainly Eugenol (@75%). Leaf oil is in great use commercially in foods, mouth preparations, soaps and toiletries. Warm and spicy aroma; it's a rich, yellow oil which lacks the depth and body of cinnamon bark oil. Its supposed to be good for growing back hair lost on edges. I use it but not religiously so I dont really see results. I got it from a regular hair store. The dominicans use it too. Cinnamon is Canela in spanish. Thats what it says on my bottle.

OT - Can someone please tell me how to post threads? I cannot find the NEW POST link for nothing and its frustrating!!

I've never used Cinnamon Oil as an oil, but i use the Sole and Cinnamon Rinse. Its a Dominican product and i love how it feels on my hair. It really cuts down on my shedding a whole lot.

I bought my MIL some jojoba oil and put cinammon eo in it, and she said it thickened up her hair and she had crazy new growth.

I know that ground cinnamon is used to lower blood pressure. Not sure how that works for the hair.

It sounds good but does it smell like cinnamon? I wouldn't want to walk around smelling like cinnamon.
