Words have power, don't they?

Of course this thread title is a generalization. It's also negative.... but it will draw more views than any positive thread will. Why?

Because there is power in words.
Words have
Power to heal.
Power to kill.
Power to encourage.

Why are we so drawn to negativity? Sometimes it is our own negative energy that draws us to negative things. Positive-thinking people react to positive things/words. It is the positive energy in us that will draw to positive things and I believe everyone has positive energy.

So my challenge is to not be a part of any problem, but to be a part of the solution.

If you have any thing positive/affirming you'd like to share about this site as a whole or this Forum, I'd love to hear it! There are so many intelligent, beautiful women here and we all have one thing in common: Our love for God.

We all know what we don't like/hate about this site..I've read it all.

But, I'd like to challenge all to also show Love for one another....and share what it is they LOVE about LHCF or others here:

• I love this forum because it's a great place online to fellowship with other believers
• I enjoy the hair tips and that women here are so eager to share their knowledge and tips on hair care, health and just about any facet of life.
• I love reading threads on topics I can learn from (esp about other faiths and about health)
• People post some of the most inspiring things I've ever read
• People can feel free to pray or ask for prayer without hindrance
• I love the Smilies and features, which help make posts more fun and interesting to read. :endworld:
• There is an incredible sense of sisterhood here
• I always feel challenged by others' thought-provoking posts

I too love the fellowship.
I have learned so much from this entire forum which I am thankful for.
I love that this is a welcoming forum where we can help up lift each other in all areas of our lives.
I love the encouragement and growth that I get from the CF.
I enjoy the natural living tips, hair tips, and cooking tips.
I enjoy that their are other women who share my Love of God.
I love learning new tips and recipes from the home.
I love the posts that challenge me to think outside of my norm, that show me others perspectives and that give me guidance on prayer.

Eh, I have a love/hate relationship with this site. Well, with all of them I belong to. There is good that can come of LHCF. Hair can be gained, knowledge can be gained, friendships can be gained...so can indigestion from time to time. It's a site for humans...and I think we rock!

It is good for fellowship and just like Jesus said " be a salt in the light in the world".
It is about encouragement and NOT putting down another. Or thinking a person is a better Christian than the other.
Not being inconsiderate when it comes to a person with a stornghold(s).
A lot do not post in this forum and you better beleive a lot more read and are touched.
People know people even through a computer screen. We have to be "the salt in light in the world"!

Like another poster said our words have power and we have to make an effort to use them in the positve.

I am truly learning about people, women in particular since I've been on LHCF. I've also learned alot about myself...and I thought I knew who I was

What has blessed me so much, and its not necessarily when I'm in the CF, but I have to say....PM land! I know there are many negatives that people think goes on in there, but in actuality....there are many wonderful, powerful things that goes on there! There are people getting saved, healed, delivered and set-free!!! Praise the Lord! Isn't that wonderful? I mean, isn't that what we as believers should be doing....that's ministry!!!

There are people who lurk on CF, but come into PM land on an ongoing basis to ask for prayer for various reasons. It's a powerful ministry...one that blesses me to no end!

The CF forum is church...two or more people gathered together in the name of Jesus Christ, praying for one another, encouraging each other, teaching each other and learning from each other...even when we don't see eye to eye. We are the church and sooner or later, we will get it right

I enjoy various forums on LHCF besides CF, and I enjoy so many of you ladies on each forum. I have fun and love to laugh...alot I'm that way outside of the forum, and some of the ladies that know me outside of the forum knows this about me

I would love for all of us to one day have a meetup...I think that would be awesome....believers all in one place, enjoying each other, laughing and expressing who we are in Christ, together...in unity...as one, with the One!

My prayer is that we become all that Jesus would have us to be, so that we can lead more people to the foot of the Cross and that Jesus would be glorified in an even greater way....so that in that day, we can all rejoice knowing that we did all that we could to do Kingdom business during our brief time here on the earth!

I'm glad I came back.

I haven't been posting lately b/c I'm working on my MA, but I love to lurk. You ladies are truely inspirational and I love to read the posts.

This forum has helped me see what I need to do to grow in Christ and it has also challenged me to question why I believe what I do.

I apologize for the thread title and its effect... I thought about it before I put it up and it really was to make a point. But I'm truly glad you look past the thread title to see the thread for what it really is. People like you encourage me everyday, because you looked beyond the title to see why someone would say something so negative about Christians, to say something encouraging anyway.

Of course I don't think Christians are idiots.. They are the salt of the Earth and a blessed people!

Regarding the bolded, I have to disagree with you. When I said that, I was not saying that I believe that the CF is a place where it's ok to unite all the beliefs of different doctrines. Not everyone believes as I believe. I was saying that as THE CHURCH we have agreements and disagreements, we learn from each other and we encourage, pray and build each other up. I find that we do this here on the CHRISTIANITY FORUM. If there are other religions that come to the CF, that's fine, we can't stop them from coming...but, it doesn't mean that they believe what the majority believe on this forum, and that is JESUS CHRIST AS OUR PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOR.

As I stated in my post, there are people who are coming to Jesus on this forum and if we put all of the things that are happening within the CF, then yes....it's the CHURCH; the two or more that are gathered together in the name of Jesus Christ.

You may feel that the CF is only a meeting place, a forum and that's fine for you to see it that way...I see it as ministry as well as fellowship; a place where I can utilize my gifts and enjoy the company of fellow believers and to also help people via prayer, a listening ear or encourage them in their marriage. To me, that's the Church...and there isn't anything wrong with me feeling that way.

The Lord is good all the time and I just try to remember that and I make sure I let people know that's how I feel here but at the same time He's real and honest so I try to let people know that too. It can be upsetting for some people who don't like to hear truth but it's only to help not to harm. You know? I pray for folks when I can and ask God to help them. I love LHCF and my experiences here because there is a whole network of Christians and non Christians that could use the Salt Of The Earth...us! Keep being strong and increase your faith, your love, your relationships.

Well the title took me off guard..

But I love LHCF and CF because its been the first time that I have been able to express myself amogust black women.I have always had trust issues about women bc of my mother always saying women are not to be trusted and I had alot of self-esteem issues as well.

I have to say when I posted a few weeks ago when I wanted to complete my sucide plan and I posted here I can't even explain the feeling that so many women on here prayed emailed me and showed me so much love.I don't know if it was all bc they were concerned or were doing their Godly jobs but it helped me to not do anything crazy and helped me to run to the bible and throne and see that all that I have gone through is why the devil wants me out..he knows I will and am a threat to him.I know that God has equiped me to be a bit of a loner but its helpful.
