Those of you who prayed over your child as soon as they were born, did you use any specific prayer to cover your child?

I am planning to do this as soon as my daughter is born - I'll have the olive oil ready

I didn't pray over them right when they were born. But as soon as possbile I spoke over them, as their parent, blessings into their lives

I have this book, and LOVE IT. Maybe I'll take some variations from there...

Even though I was not trying to live for the Lord at that time, I did pray for all of my kids. I basically dedicated them to God and promised him I would teach them who he was. I knew even then that they belonged to him and that he was being kind when he allowed me to be in their lives. My prayers varied a bit with each one since I was more mature each time along the way but really I kept it simple. I just opened up and said what was in my heart.
