They probably wont institute it because it will mess with their money from the faithful. Sad to say.People look like slobs coming to mass, especially in the summer. I think the church needs to institute a dress code like the high churches in Europe: no bare shoulders/arms, no shorts, no short skirts/dresses. At mass yesterday, the cantor's dress was inappropriately short. If the cantor doesn't have a clue, how can we expect the faithful to? I wanted to say something but these days, you can't say anything to anybody without getting cursed out.
Love your style, @Maracujá ! That entire look in pic #1 is my favorite... just lovely...
Is anyone doing a modest capsule wardrobe? And if so what are your basic pieces?
Well, I sorta kinda am but the way my shopping addiction is set up though . Made a list of what I need for each season: took an inventory of what I already have and turns out I don't have enough skirts/trousers. So right now I'm focused on that, whenever I'm out shopping, I buy skirts and/trousers first.
Some people are very strict in this, like Jennifer L. Scott from YouTube, she only has 10 pieces per season. Not sure if I'll go that extreme, I doubt it. My basic pieces for this summer are maxi dresses/skirts, sheath blouses, slacks, tunics + head wraps. Just mixing and matching everything truly helps, this is what I wore today:
This is a perfect work outfit, where can I get this belt??? Any ideas?Would you wear this outfit in the Fall? I hear Yellow is the colour du jour this Fall...

Too fitted for church? what about location of slit? loooove this dress!
I like the cut of the pants but not the color. I look horrible in yellow.
I have a question. Where are you ladies getting camisoles that are high enough to actually give coverage in low cut tops? All the camis I have found barely cover the girls so they can’t be used to make low cut tops more modest.
