Chi Silk Infusion vs Moroccan Oil

I don't care what the price difference between the two are, Moroccanoil is the best. I have 3 bottles of Moroccanoil, and 2 12oz bottles of Chi Silk Infusion.

Moroccanoil wins, hands down, to me!

Denise11 have you tried both? What makes the Moroccanoil better than Chi Silk Infusion? And can you describe the smell of Moroccanoil? I hear everyone saying that it smells good but that's not saying much. Is it scent comparable to anything else?

Yes I use both. Moroccanoil is lighter and it doesn't make my hair feel heavy like the chi does. It makes my wet hair dry faster. And the "slip" is out of ythis world! It also makes my hair strong, wayyyy after it was aplied to my hair. Its just a great product!

Chi, on the other hand, is good when I'm using heat. It makes my flat-ironing easy and soooo soft! But Moroccanoil does that too.

Moroccanoil has a medicinal scent to me. And the Chi has a men's cologne scent.

Moroccanoil has Argan oil in it. It has other things in it too that makes this oil work so great. You can buy Argan oil, but you won't get total moroccanoil experience. It won't be the same as using Moroccanoil.

Never heard of Moroccanoil. I am a die-hard CHI fan though. However, I can't use it now because I am in a no direct heat challenge. Now CHI just makes my hair "slimy?" I know you mentioned "when you use heat". Are you air drying now or using a roller set? Would you mind telling how you work it into your regimen. I need a CHI replacement and have not found one.

Thanks in advance!!

I thought CSI was just silk amino acids, not a heat protector. I really don't see what all the hype is about with CSI. I am curious how you use the oil before flat ironing. Please give me the 411.

Chi Silk Infusion has been on my wish list forever and I was just about to add Moroccanoil until I saw the price :lachen:
Thanks for posting though! Good info...

Moroccan Oil is the absolute best. It has replaced all of my serums and heat protectants. Chi Silk Infusion doesnt even compare... doesn't stand a chance.

A little Moroccan oil goes a very long way so the cost is well worth the investment. :yep:

I love my CHI. It gives slip like no other serum and makes detangling a breeze I mean I lose very few hairs when I use it. a little goes a long ways though. I have to try the Moroccan oil.

I love Moroccan Oil because I can use it with curly or straight hair, its not greasy, isn't sticky, has "slip" (which was a shock to me), smells good. Definitely worth the price. Oh and alittle goes a long way.

I LOVE Chi. If this Moroccan oil is better than Chi, I must try it. I find that hard to believe.

I've tried both.. I like morroccan oil better... no funny old man cologne smell and no way to use too much and no greasiness (in my experience).

i haven't tried chi, but i have some morocan oil im not feeling it. I don't hate it but im not in love. i feel like garnier's serum more

kerastase is still my all time favorite

Somewhat tangentially related question: Why are people only using Chi before flat-ironing? I use it before any heavy manipulation and I haven't noticed any sliminess...

I use it before blow drying and as a styling product.

As far as sliminess, they might be using too much. I slapped a pea size amount in my grass today and BAM! Instant deliciousness. :lick:

Girl, I know what you mean. I bought it last week (for 11.99, for like, 1 oz but I got it from ebay cheaper, 20 oz for $20!!) and I'm in love!

I'm going to the Dominican's tomorrow for a trim, and I'm taking it with me, to use before the rollerset.
