THATS MY STYLIST!!! She has grown my hair so much!! LOVE HER!
I was just crying to her about my sulpher set back the other day and she is such an awesome person and stylist.

Oh no, what kind of sulfur setback did you have?
greenandchic
Girl I bought an " sulpher elixir" used it for two weeks and when I took my cornrows out (cornrowed my own hair) so much hair came OUT!!! I was so scared because i have bought and used it before with no problem. Well lets just say I am not buying anymore products and am just using what I know and making my own oil mixes. Reniece is such an encouragement and she really cares. I live in ATL and she is a great stylist, friend and support system! I truly love that girl and will do anything for her. :yep:
ETA: the amount of hair that came out was like the size of 2 half dollars. :nono: First and last set back as a natural for me!!!

Her hair is gorgeous but Fyi it is near impossible to get an appointment I've been trying for 3 years and still no luck. She only opens her book for new clients maybe once or twice a year. You're not able to just call and make an appointment (I wish!)

Sent from my ADR6400L using ADR6400L

What a blessing that she is so busy, means business is booming. Sad for you b/c she's just within your reach but not at the same time.

*chants to self: i will protective style, i will protective style*

her hair is sooo gorgeous!! my gawd!!
i wonder if she will keep wearing weaves now that she's reached her goal.

Ima lil' confused Ladies. She said she set the rods on flatironed hair, No?
But she dampened it prior to setting, or did I hear it wrong? If I dampened my FI hair it would blow up and revert to it's airdried state, which is not that sleek and straight.

She is a hair legend from back in the day! And even more importantly, she seems to have a wonderful personality! Note to self, she took:
- 4 years to BSL as a relaxed
- 3 years to MBL as a natural
- 4 years to WSL as a natural

Hmmmm.....

Sigh...exhale...:cup::heart::love4::luv2::love::notworthy:heart2::infatuated::2inlove::love3: I love Reniece's hair and her videos.

Sadly, if I tried to do a bun drop my hair would stick straight out just like that advertisement on tv.

Um, yeah I really didn't notice that because I saw the results. haha. Well for me takes some time for my hair to revert fully. Like if my hair is flat ironed and it is just damp, it won't curl up too much. Maybe that is the secret more damp less wet?

Wow! Now that's what I call a beautiful and VERY inspirational story! Thanks for sharing! Keep up the good work Reniece!

Her hair is beautiful. It's got so much body! She really knows what she is doing. Thanks for sharing, OP.

I should have edited that to say "outstanding work!" I love how she said she didn't think her hair would ever grow the 12 inches that her weave was, when in fact her hair grew waaay past that!!! And all that body. Gorgeous!

I also like how she showed that you can have healthy hair relaxed or natural once you get your regimen together.

I subscribed to her channel and when I reach my APL goal I'm trying that flexi rod set!

Off to check out her website now for more inspiration. :cowgirl:

She makes me wanna go buy a grip of hair growth products, I gotta step my hair game up! Her hair game is on point just lovely.

Her hair is astounding. Not only that, her professionalism and skillset are out of this world.. I was really impressed looking at her website and portfolio. It's great that she has apprentices, we definitely need more stylists like Reniece to permeate the industry.

Reniece is the one stylist I take my hat off to and respect like no other. My friend is still mad at me that I am so close to her and haven't made an appointment to get her to do my hair. :giggle: But I'm cheap and I like to do my own hair, but if ever that changed, I'd be knock knock knocking on her door.

@Leesh, Keshieshimmer I think if hair has serum on it, it won't revert so much. What's more, if I can go from completely shrunken hair to curls, albeit not smooth ones, and that is WITHOUT using heat, just airdrying with Curlformers, then hair that is already straight and that is then stretched on rods after being made wet and heat dried in that rod-stretched state would most certainly give the results she got.

I don't think she dunked her head in water and then worked from a dripping head of shrinking hair. I'm guessing she spritz each section immediately before wrapping it on the rod so it didn't have time to revert. And I'm also guessing she uses sebum...so reversion would most likely happen fully only after she shampoos.
