1. THEY are beautiful

2. I'm sure you'll enjoy them for some time to come.

3. I'm pleased that they were able to put them in so thinnly. As they become longer the styles will be awesome.

4. .....sigh.....I'm jealous....

They are beautiful! I always said if I were to ever get locks, it would be sisterlocks, you're going to love the versatility of having them.

Thanks ladies!!!

I truly believe that this has been the best hair decision I've ever made!

The styling versatility is endless! I get to style my hair like a loose natural or even relaxed diva: buns, puffs, twist-outs, braids-outs, updos, french rolls, roller sets, bantu knots, bantu knot-outs...etc, etc

The best part is that I don't have to worry about detangling drama ever again!!!

I really hope that more ladies join the Sisterlocks family..I have no regrets!

Thanks again ladies....

Oooo pretty, PRETTY! They are gorgeous! I think Sistalocks are soo pretty. I always said if I went natural, I would get them.

You hair looks great. I seem to remember looking into sisterlocks several years ago. I almost forgot about it.

Could you either POST or PM me with your stylist's info/location.

I'd like to know if this stylist is willing to work on relaxed hair & if so just how far I'd have to travel. Thanks.

Seeing your sisterlocks is making me consider splitting some of my braidlocks in half :wallbash:

Looks great :yep:...we need some more locked sistas in the LHCF fam

Hey yorlooksmybiz .. check your messages..I just sent you a PM! :)

Hey AZAfroGurl... don't split yours unless you are sure you want smaller locs..I like the size you are starting with...if I got traditional locs, I would probabaly have gone for your size! But if you do decide to make them smaller, do it soon before they loc LOL!!!

And I totally agree..we need more loc'ed sisters on LHCF! How about we start a Loc'ed Support thread?!!! We might only start out w/ about 5 members but who knows....

They are very pretty. I have to give you props for having someone in your head long enough to get all those done!:yay: I could never do that.

I just got through reading your loc reggie in your fotki.
Very simple adn I like that.
Why don't you have to use a con?

Thanks ladies!

Yeah it took a total of 40 hours over the course of 3 days! BUT that is a one time deal..just for the installation...

When I get my hair re-tightened, it should only take a few hours...the typical range is 3-5 hours and that is only every 6-8 weeks so it's really not that long comparing it to how long and how often I would have to style my loose natural hair!

Everyone feel free to read my Fotki journal entries about Sisterlocks, you will be pleasantly surprised at how much money & time you could save!

Hey KEWLKAT103...my regimen has changed dramatically..it's so simple it's scary and I only need TWO things 1) water 2) cleanser ... it's truly liberating!

I don't use traditional conditioner b/c it causes buildup in the locs that could cause them to become heavy & dull later on and it's honestly not neccessary to use conditioner w/ loc'ed hair .. loose hair needs conditioner mainly to make it pliable, soft & to detangle

I do use Herbal Tea ACV rinses as my post-wash conditioner and have not had to use any oils yet, but I can use light oils if need be....so far my locs are fluffy & light!

Feel free to ask more questions ladies..I don't mind!

Hey chocolatethai .. you're not slow LOL ... I honestly just heard of them a few months ago, so don't feel bad!

Sisterlocks are a trademarked method of locking the hair using a specific latching tool and weaving technique. They are much smaller in size than traditional locs and the weaving technique used to create/maintain them causes them to be feather-light and less prone to breakage & heaviness once the locs grow.

There is sooo much to say about Sisterlocks, I could write a book, but I am not an expert so I think it's best to check out the following sites for more detailed information:

The offcial Sisterlocks website (check out the GALLERY for pics):

The Locks Blog Exchange (listing of countless blogs/albums featuring locs, specifically Sisterlocks --- YOU CAN REALLY FIND SOME LOVELY SISTERLOCKS VETERANS HERE!)

My Fotki Journal has loads of info and links to other GREAT blogs w/ even more info:
