Im noticing the longer my hair gets, it seems my curls are more S shaped instead of O shaped.

Anyone else experience this?? And is there a way to make them more loopy instead of squiggly?

I noticed that as my hair grows, it gets heavier and changes the curl pattern as well. I don't think there is anything that can be done about it, except to cut it short and who wants to do that? :takecover:

I'm finding the same thing is happening to my hair. When I was SL I had nice big corkscrew curls all over... now that I'm a little past BSL the front barely has a wave the middle is wavy and the back is loose curls ...

Perhaps lighter or less products? But yea other than cutting layers, I dont think you can change whats there.

My curls were extreeeeeemely tight in certain parts of my hair when I first BC'd, but now that my hair is longer my curls do appear to be looser. Like most have said, it is more than likely from the weight of the hair. I actually like it though because I don't get nearly as many SSKs now.

Interesting. I'll look out for this. I do notice that when I undo my hair in the morning, it hangs more now that it did 4 months ago. Actually it didn't hang at all 4 months ago when I BCed.

@SmilingElephant.... are you bragging about your long hair lady? :giggle:
I want to see pics of this hair your talking about

:giggle:

I haven't noticed anything, but then again... ::crybaby:: my hair is not in the gravey section anymore @NJoy :look: :giggle:

I noticed that too! its like an anomaly lol

When I first bc'd my hair had a solid 4a curl, now it's morphing into a looser 3d (this hair type technically doesn't exist yet lol)

Yes this happens to lots of folks but it's not like 4b hair will miraculously turn into 2a hair the longer it gets, lurkers.

^^ Rotfl.

I think weather has something to do with it too, at least for me. Even when I big chopped sometimes my hair was loose semi-curls and sometimes spirals. Right now I can't get spirals and my hair isn't even weighty.

My neck length natural hair is swinging. When I did my henna, I had loose wavy hair , but an acv reeled my 4z's back in. (Yes, I know 4z is a myth- but I guess I am a walking unicorn cause this is the truth).

I think all of the moisture we use, and stuff defines/loosens our curl patterns

The first pic is the most recent. (Yes, ive gained weight....yay!) The second is showing how loopy my curls used to be...they don't really do that anymore. :-(....and that was at APL, im nearly MBL now. Same length where ManeStreet said it happened to her.
