What do you use to flat iron your hair with. I mean in terms of lotion/spray.

I currently use the profectiv oil sheen which I just spray on and press. Any other suggestions.

I use Dudley creme press and Redken heat glide.

Thank Hiza, you and your hair are so beautiful.

I can't get dudley's over here, but Redken I can

I use keracare silken seal or biosilk for protection. I also find that I have to use a watery leavin like biolage leave in tonic, I love salerm, but on my straightened hair a creamy leavin tends to leave me with frizz. I just started using wild growth oil all over my hair, but I also use coconut oil or jojoba oil, I finish with a serum like smooth n shine or jon freida. hth!

There is a product which I have seen at Trade Secret for flat iron users which caught my attention. It is called Flat Out by KMS. I believe it is alcohol-free.

I might try it.

At the moment, I use Proclaim's Spray On Glosser. It works ok as a heat protectant for flat ironing. However, I am looking for something which lends greater slip.

There is another Proclaim product specifically designed for use with flat irons, curling irons, and blow dryers. However, I have been reticent to purchase it because it contains SD Alcohol 40.

I use Redken Heat glide and Sebastian<sp> Iron Works..I think it's called..it's a spray..maybe it's called Hot Tool Works.. something like that though..

I use Straight Request Hair Polish....I went to buy keracare silk n seal but the stylist talked me into buying this because she said its just like the silk n seal but more concentrated, thus working better to hold up against humidity. I was sold on that! I like it, it gives a nice shine too...

I put Salerm on my wet hair and once it's air-dryed apply the ceramic flat iron to my hair. If I need more "help" I use Ultra Black Hair creme which I ordered online from a site Denali recommended. It's almost similar to KeraCare's setting lotion.

Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide makes my hair very shiny and striaght. Helps fight frizzyness too.
