[ QUOTE ] Boadicea said: Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter: This comes in a neat little glass jar. It's white, thickly creamy (even if you go to take off a little, you get just a tiny bit more than you bargained for). On dry hair, as well as on wet hair, it's a little difficult to spread around due to the wax. You may have to rub some together in your hands, first, before applying it to your hair.
After adding the HM to my damp hair, I put it in a ponytail and then twisted the hair around to make a column. As I twisted, I put HHB on my ponytail starting from the top and going down to the ends. My hair was moist, soft and shiny.
This morning when I took down my bun, my hair was still mildly damp and slightly less moisturized than the day before, but no less soft.
Complaints: The smell!

I will definitely use this in my regimen to moisturize my ends. I even put some on the canopy where the HM had lost its moisture and now it's soft and moisturized again. Even though my hair doesn't have many (sometimes if any) fly-aways, it will keep the few that I do have down. In this way, it is reminiscent of Wanakee's Hairline cream, in that it will tame frizzies and fly-aways on the canopy.
I would definitely say that if you're going to use this product to use it on wet hair! I never had a problem with spreading it like some others have mentioned. I have not used it in about 3 weeks b/c it seemed to be making my hair hard. I am sure I will use what I have left at some point though.
I dont think I would use HHB on dry hair. I use it only on wet hair and only when I have a lot of new growth. Ive recently stopped using it as much because I realized that mango butter does the same job but without all the buildup. When I want the extra oil I use the HHB.
i used the CD HHB, i just had a 4 oz. jar that lasted me all of 2 months since my hair just drank up the product.
i didn't find it all that hard to spread on natural hair. i would ALWAYS rub it around a little bit on my palms before applying it to my hair though. i washed my hair about once a week when i used this product. you should be fine.
i used the CD HHB for twists a time or two. it worked fine.
