While I have the time, I am just going to rattle off as many posts as I can. I might not be able to get around to it for a while again.
I live in Connecticut, so I totally understand all the ladies in the Northeast, dealing with the toll winter weather takes on our hair. It has been especially bad this winter. This is what seems to work for my hair.
I have been having to coat the length of my hair with pure castor oil. I also apply it to my edges and entire hairline. If I need more help for my ends, I use Hollywood Beauty Castor Oil Hair Treatment with Mink Oil. This stuff is great! It is as thick as good old-fashioned "grease," but with no petroleum, and it has a wonderful smell. The only drawback for me is that I don't like mineral oil, and it has some in it, but, it is way down on the list.
I apply it at night, and wrap it or pin it in 4 small, loose pincurls, cover with a satin scullcap, and wrap a scarf around that to keep it put.
The weather is so drying, that I have to apply the castor oil products just about every other night generously.
In the morning, I put my hair up in a loose bun, tuck my ends in, and go on about my day.
