Carried Across the Threshold

I randomly thought about this. How many of you all were carried over the threshold by your husbands after getting married? Is is something you wanted to do?

If you're unmarried, do you want to be carried when the time comes?
 
Yes, I was carried over the threshold. It was his idea, as I could care less. At first I was resistant, but then gave in because he refused to enter into the house unless he carried me.

I mean I get it, but I still don't understand its importance anymore.
 
I think it's cute, but no carry here. Maybe because we already lived together or maybe because my friend was staying with us when we got back home from the wedding.
No carrying or other "bells and whistles" come to think of it. We just went home :ohwell:

I was carried across the threshhold of our honeymoon suite. We didn't have a honeymoon, per se, but we had the Presidential suite of a major hotel and so, he tried his best to make it special. I had forgotten all about it until he did it. I wouldn't even have remembered, I was so fatigued and so excited about finally getting some! :lol: I'd been celibate for 2 years prior so....I wasn't thinking about the darn threshhold. Don't you know my exDH parked his car outside the very front of the hotel where you unload your luggage? :lol: He was clueless! Left it there all night. :nono: I should have known then, he was "different". :lol: Anyway....It's just a ritual. Not a big deal. But, I have to say, there's nothing sexier than a man who can and will pick you UP. :yep:
 
My sweetie always picks me up. He's my Hercules and I LOVE it!!! :grin:

If we ever get married, I would like for him to carry me over the threshold. I'm sure he would.
 
My DH picked me up on his side and carried me over. Po thing.

My DH picked me up and carried me into the honeymoon suite. I wasn't expecting it... didn't even know he had the thought or even heard of the tradition! The surprise of it all made it worth it to me! :grin:
