On break
Hi, all.

I just purchased a product that gets EXCELLENT reviews.

It is SM's Zanzibar line's leave-in.

I just noticed: It contains carrageenan.

Uggh.

What do you think? Safe in hair products? Not safe? Not worth the risk? I have little ones at home and am thinking about returning this product for something else.

It's an algae. Irish moss, or carregeenen, is used by many raw vegans. When I was in Barbados, it was a popular, natural drink that I found every where I went.

I had been advised to avoid it all costs when I was drinking almond milk. I was SURPRISED to see it in a hair product. There is one researcher who SWEARS it's dangerous, but she seems to be all alone: http://followyourheart.com/is-carrageenan-safe/

I just don't want the headache of concerning myself over it. I'm going to return it and exchange it for the 10-in-1 masque I've been wanting to try.
