Ladies if you love CD products please note that on April 15th, there will be a price increase of about 5-10% on a "broad range of products." Not all products will be affected. She didn't say which ones though.

So stock up ya'll!

are they bugging out or what/ why do companies do this.. once the product goes extremely mainstream they hike up the prices- i mean how much does natural products cost to create and put in jar and sell ( ok i know Carol prob has manufacturing costs, payroll, shipping etc. but still)

Going up more than they already are?!

I guess now is the time to stock up. Thanks for the heads up!

According to the notification I got, the price increase is due to "ongoing and in some cases extreme increases in the cost of quality raw materials."

Her HHB butter is already pricey and I love the way it performs on my daughters hair. Dang!

You can order her products from Carolsdaughter.com

I don't use her products as much anymore, but I'm glad I have the lifetime discount membership. At least I don't have to pay $20 or $25 every year to get a discount off these escalating prices!!!

I don't know why people spazz about CD's prices. If you compare them to the other natural lines out there, they are within range. It's not like her prices are higher than everyone elses.

That is true...

For me once I compare ingredients to other natural lines, makes me wonder why I would spend so much on corn and vegetable oil when I can get it on sale at my local supermarket....

Anyone going? Maybe you can steal me some CD samples... >:]

Dang! I can't go. Father's Day is that weekend and I am supposed to go to Chicago to visit my Dad. Oh, well

As far as Carol's Daughter, that's too bad about the price increase, but I really don't use those products anymore, except for the almost empty jar of Healthy Hair Butter that I have and when that runs out, I will just use the Mane Attraction that I bought from Asha's. At any rate, if the product is of good quality, then I don't see any reason to not continue purchasing them. I guess I'll go to the CArol's DAughter website before the price hike takes effect.

Really? I guess I'm use to Aubrey. I can get 11 oz. bottles of their product for 8 bucks at Vitamin Shoppe. No 8-12 dollar shipping fees either!

True so1913 but in reality, we could all go out and buy our own stuff at the local health food store and it would be cheaper including easy to find stuff like castor oil.

Dtachi, Aubrey has plenty of products that cost more than CD's. I bought something from them a couple of years ago and it was like 16.35 for 2 oz. on their website, not incl. shipping.

True...but if your lazy like me (hee hee) and choose to pay the extra penny for pre-made products for the convienence, you'd at least want to get your moneys worth...So, generally speaking, if one line/product/service has a comprable line/product/service to another but is of higher quality, I'm probably going to have a problem paying the same or more for lesser quality, when I can get something of higher quality in the same price range...

For me, the issue isn't that the prices are high or getting higher (I don't have a problem spending on quality products), it's more what I'm getting in return for the higher prices..

Touche and that's when it becomes subjective. For some, corn oil isn't a poor quality ingredient, for others it is. I feel the same about jojoba vs. olive. I will spend money on a line/products that contain ingredients that I know work for my hair like olive oil and avoid products that contain jojoba oil.
